When designing the Maximiser, Wychwood wanted a reel that anglers could use comfortably all the time.

By incorporating a large capacity aluminium spool and perfect line-lay, casting performance is maximised, without having to use a massive reel.

Another key area that Wychwood has developed is the handle. By reducing the shaft length by 14mm and using a comfortable wooden torpedo grip this reel is much more useable and actually feels like a standard sized reel.

Based upon the same ‘chassis’ as the Maximiser Big Pit, but with a slightly less refined design, the Rogue still offers an excellent compromise between traditional big pit reel and standard sized reel.

Designed for fishing at ranges over the 140 yard mark, the Rogue is a serious companion to any of the Wychwood long range rods.

Being compact in size it is also very usable at close range where the micro-adjustable drag really comes into play. 

The Rogue is actually lighter than its more expensive big brother, thanks to a graphite spool and one-touch folding handle.
