During the testing period for the early prototypes, Wychwood found that the only way to guarantee the strength of the rod when faced with extreme conditions was to double reinforce each of the spigot joints and to use an over-fit on the most vulnerable tip joint.    The end result is an impressive development of an already outstanding range of  tried and tested standard rods.
